Gentle/Chair – This class is for beginners and those with physical challenges.  Class uses chairs and standing modifications of yoga with no floor work.  Students work at their own level to increase their body awareness, muscle strength, flexibility and balance while creating more mobility, ease of movement and reducing stress.  Emphasis is on proper breathing with each session providing a complete stretching workout and includes a relaxation exercise at the end.  This class is held at the Southside Senior Community Center (27th & Ray, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2pm). 

Senior Intermediate Yoga - This gentle yoga class, which includes floor work, is for those who are familiar with yoga and want to continue to explore its variety of poses but need or want a slower less challenging class then a regular yoga class.  Props such as chairs, blankets, blocks, belts, etc. are used to make the poses more accessible to the students.  This class is held at the Sinto Senior Community Center (2 blocks west of Monroe on Sinto) at 3:30 pm Wednesdays.

Gentle Yoga - This class is structured around rejuvenating and healing the body.  Yoga props such as blankets, blocks, bolsters, chairs and straps are often used for safe practice, and to allow the body to fully achieve each position comfortably.  This class is held at a slower pace and focuses on stretching all areas of the body, while releasing stress and tension from joints and muscles.  Floor work is optional but encouraged.  This class is held at 3:30-4:45pm on Tuesdays.
