Born just outside of LA, I was raised in Spokane, Washington and consider myself to be a native.  I have been an engineer, manager and accountant by profession and I finally settled in Suncrest just northwest of Spokane in 1990 after living and working in Seattle and New Jersey.  In the fall of 1998, bordering on burnout, an LMT suggested I try yoga as a stress reducer and I have been practicing ever since.   Besides my regular weekly classes I have attended numerous workshops and retreats, studying with Rodney Yee, Elise Miller, Judith Lasater, Peter Sterios, Erich Schiffmann, Julie Gudmestad, Barbara Kaplan, and Robert Gray, all considered to be major “yogis” in the United States.  I started teaching in 2007 and completed my Certification training with The Yoga School of Spokane in December 2008.  I am registered with the Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT200 Instructor.  Although I teach at several locations around Spokane, I opened Zoga – a yoga studio in the fall of 2008 to be closer to home and serve my local community.  When not stretching and bending, I enjoy swimming, hiking, biking and sitting on my deck watching the deer and turkeys eat my garden.
